May 21, 2022 · wildly, the sonic games were best played on mobile as those ports were done by christian whitehead (who ended up doing sonic mania). or with community ports like sonic revisited (defunct afaik, only zone 1-3 were ported) sonic 2 CC or sonic 3 AIR (both of which require genesis roms and cant be used with the old pc ports anyway).
