May 8, 2020 · Ryobi came out with a 6ah 40v battery pack last year. This year they introduced a 7.5ah pack which is physical larger than their standard 4 & 5ah packs. Enough so, as far as I can tell it will not fit into their older mowers due to it's height and the sloped front of the battery compartment. Now, for the kicker.

Aug 28, 2023 · There are two different sizes, only the smaller one fits my mower. The newer mower models will work with the taller packs. I weighed all three packs (all the same physical size) and there was very little difference in weight which makes little sense especially going from a 4AH to a 6AH. Apr 24, 2019 · I realize now that the elite series has both 3Ah & 6Ah batteries. My point was possibly the G-Max charger was already maxed out with the existing batteries (5Ah BAF705 largest available), and to be able to go to 6Ah they needed to design a new charger and decided to come up with a whole new ELITE Series at the same time.

May 8, 2020 · Luckly, I purchased the smaller 6ah pack. The 1st & 3rd attachments are the larger 6ah packs. The 2nd is the 7.5ah pack. The 4th attachment shows the difference between a 4ah, a no-name import and the larger 6ah packs. The last two show the 2 different battery pack numbers. The '1' is the smaller, the '2' is the larger.

Apr 24, 2019 · I contacted Ryobi regarding their new 40v 6ah battery pack. The one that is not listed anywhere. Not of Ryobi's or Home Depots websites. The reason being Ryobi has none in their warehouse and no known date when they will be available as a separate purchase. They couldn't even give me a retail price.

May 27, 2019 · Based on Ah alone / comparing to the 4Ah performance with simple math, I figure the 6Ah battery should last between 28-40 minutes. Well, the L-600 battery lasted 35 minutes … grass was kinda thick and tall in spots which caused mower to kick up to high speed at least once per pass, so maybe 30-40% of the time.

May 4, 2024 · As an experiment trying out the new mower I was able to mow for 45 minutes, 13,000 square feet all using self propel on fairly level ground. 6 AH battery. I read somewhere Ryobi 40V batteries are LifePo4, however I have been unable to confirm. Does anyone know for sure? They are certainly heavy enough to be LifePo4.
