Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup: What are the major differences?
The Ryder Cup goes for three days with a total of 28 matches with each match worth 1 point. The first team to earn 14½ points wins the cup. If the matches end in a 14-14 tie, the team holding the cup retains it so while the scoreboard might show a tie, the overall standings wouldn’t consider that year’s matches to be tied as one side would retain.
