Nicholas Hoult will always be reminded of his Nosferatu costar Bill Skarsgård's faux phallus. In a new interview published ahead of the horror film's release on Wednesday, December 25, Hoult, 35, revealed the hilarious wrap gift director Robert Eggers,

“I have Count Orlok’s prosthetic penis framed at home,” Hoult told co-star Lily-Rose Depp. “There’s a scene where Bill Skarsgård is slurping my blood, and Robert Eggers asked afterwards, ‘How was that for you?’… And I said, ‘I could feel his prosthetic penis on my leg.’”

Talking to Digital Spy, Hoult – who plays Thomas Hutter – recalled a terrifying experience filming a scene with Czech shepherd dogs who had the job of running after a scared Thomas in Count Orlok's castle.

It wasn’t enough for Count Orlok’s prosthetic penis to be in its natural form. The special prop piece had an actual frame, which the actor says later broke. This meant he legitimately had to take the Nosferatu prop to again be framed in all of its glory and this is when the additional hilarity ensued:

After a strange experience on set, Hoult now has a bizarre gift from director Robert Eggers that he keeps on display.
