NORTH CAROLINA, USA — Duke Energy provided an update on Thursday, Oct. 3 about its efforts to restore power in North and South Carolina after the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene. The energy company said 90% of customers in North and South Carolina will have power restored by Friday, Oct. 4.

Duke Energy said it expects power to be restored by Sunday night after remnants of Hurricane Helene whipped through the Cincinnati region.

In a statement, Duke Energy said a majority of customers are expected to have power returned no later than Friday evening, Oct. 4. However, repair efforts are so widespread that very few areas have been assigned estimated times of restoration.
