Democratic U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez led Republican Joe Kent in the race to represent southwest Washington in Congress on Tuesday, but the contest remained too close to call.

With votes being tallied two days after Election Day, the race between Democratic Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and Republican Joe Kent remains too close to call.

Incumbent Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp Perez appears close to a victory in a rematch with Republican Joe Kent in Washington's 3rd District.

Gluesenkamp Perez led in Southwest Washington's 3rd Congressional District with 51%, or by about 11,000 votes. The Seattle Times called the race for Gluesenkamp Perez on Thursday night.
