ROSEMONT, Ill. - Ben Oberto, the New Berlin man originally reported missing on Thursday died following a crash in Rosemont. The New Berlin Police Department, with help from the Illinois State Police, confirmed that on Friday, Nov. 15, at about 3:40 p.m., troopers found Oberto’s Subaru Impreza overturned in a creek.

New Berlin police are investigating the disappearance of a man Wednesday night, who was expected by 8:30 p.m. but never arrived home. Laura Leatherberry spoke with WISN 12 News Friday, saying she is desperate for information.

A missing Wisconsin man was found deceased in a car crash in Rosemont, with Illinois State Police confirming the identity as Benjamin Oberto, 45. Investigations are ongoing.

According to New Berlin police, the body of 45-year-old Ben Oberto was located on Friday afternoon after authorities found his silver 2019 Subaru Impreza overturned in a creek along the curve of the I-90 eastbound ramp to I-294 northbound, in Rosemont, near Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

A Wisconsin man who was last seen at a work dinner in the Chicago suburbs earlier this week has gone missing, as his family searches for answers in the mysterious disappearance.

According to the New Berlin Police Department, a man, Benjamin Oberto, was reported missing on Thursday, November 14.

Ben Oberto called his wife on Wednesday and told her he would be home in time to put their son to bed, but he never made it home.
