The University of Alabama has blocked a student rally planned for Friday, but will allow a tailgate protest Saturday on the Quad ahead of former President Donald Trump’s appearance at the Alabama-Georgia football game in Tuscaloosa.
U.S. District Judge R. David Proctor ruled a state law violated the federal Voting Rights Act, which allows blind, disabled and illiterate voters to choose a person to assist them.
Alabama voters can now find sample ballots for all 67 counties for the Nov. 5 general election on the secretary of state’s website. “I would encourage all Alabamians to review these sample ballots as they get ready to head to the polls on November 5,” Secretary of State Wes Allen said in a press release.
