There were two groups of people celebrating Virginia Tech’s Hail-Mary win that quickly became Miami’s Hail-Mario win Friday night. There was the group that, like Miami quarterback Cam Ward, also felt “pain” that the Hurricanes left this game to be decided by referees and replay.

It was the Hurricanes’ first true challenge of the season, the first time where a win was anything but certain as the game ticked down to its final moments.
