A new independent report is slamming UCLA's response to pro-Palestinian protests at the university earlier this year, criticizing what it calls a chaotic decision-making process and poor communication amongst the administration and campus leaders.

Despite some criticism from UCLA fans over football coaching the past few years, athletic director Martin Jarmond's contract was extended.

Jarmond was hired by UCLA in 2020 and signed a six-year contract after three years leading Boston College's athletic program.

UCLA athletic director Martin Jarmond has had his contract renewed through 2029. The university announced the extension on Thursday and noted it was finalized this past spring.
