The UAW says Stellantis isn't living up to its commitments on product and investments, which the company denies.

The United Auto Workers union asked the workers at Stellantis to authorize a strike, accusing the French-Italian car maker of breaking its contract promises, UAW President Shawn Fain said in a letter to the union's U.

UAW Stellantis Council met yesterday to discuss the beleaguered carmaker's "ongoing failure" to honor their 2023 agreement.

"To be clear, Stellantis has abided, and will continue to abide, by the agreement the parties reached in 2023," Stellantis' North America COO Carlos Zarlenga said in an email to the UAW.

Chrysler parent Stellantis NV on Monday denied allegations made by United Auto Workers (UAW) President Shawn Fain that the company failed to keep its commitments made to union workers under an agreement reached last year.
