Super Typhoon Pepito (international name: Man-yi) slammed into the Philippines’ most populous island on Sunday, with the national weather service warning of flooding, landslides and huge waves as the storm sweeps across the archipelago nation.

Initial videos shared by Panganiban, Catanduanes Mayor Cesar Robles showing the devastation in the area hours after Sper Typhoon pepito made landfall in the province.

MANILA – Pepito (international name Man-yi) has intensified into a super typhoon on Saturday. All areas where wind signals are hoisted were urged to prepare as the cyclone packs maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 230 kph.
