Memphis-based logistics giant FedEx is reducing its headcount as it works to "streamline and realign functions."

FedEx Corp. announced this week that it is making a “small number” of layoffs. In its statement, FedEx did not specify how many job cuts there are, where the jobs are located, or if it the decision is directly tied to the consolidation of its operating companies, which was completed earlier this year.
