Mayor Eric Adams’ historic corruption trial date has been set for April 21, 2025, a judge ruled Friday. The decision by Judge Dale Ho was issued at the end of a hearing in Manhattan federal court over whether to throw out the bribery charge, one of five counts that Adams faces.

The date upset the defense, which argued for a schedule that could end the trial no later than early April to accommodate "grave, grave Democratic concerns," namely the mayor's reelection campaign.
