Nick Kyrgios is to play his first competitive match in two years when he takes part in the Brisbane International in December.

Nick Kyrgios says he will make a return to competitive tennis at the Brisbane International beginning Dec. 29 after playing only one ATP Tour match in more than two years.

Kyrgios has played just one ATP Tour singles match in the last two years, having suffered with wrist, knee and foot injuries that have kept him off the court

Although the Australian hardcourts aren’t as accommodating to his serve and volley game as the green grass of Wimbledon, Kyrgios has still had plenty of success at home, winning the Brisbane International in 2018 then teaming up with his good mate Thanasi Kokkinakis to win the Australian open doubles title in 2022.
