President Joe Biden has said he has no plans to retire when he leaves the White House next year, and intends to continue working on foreign and domestic policy issues. During an appearance on ABC's The View on Wednesday, Biden 81, said he was "not going away" after a career in politics that has spanned more than 50 years.

The change will make what had been a short-term fix, which appears to have led to a drop in border crossings, a central feature of the asylum system.

"The Harris-Walz campaign team has to be less than thrilled about the possibility of a Biden valedictory tour," the former White House staffer said.
