Sonic the Hedgehog 3 just released its runtime, leaving many worried about whether the movie will have time to introduce its most exciting addition.

The director of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Jeff Fowler, recently spoke about his excitement about returning to the third film in the franchise and reflected on beginning his career as an animator for Blur Studios working on the Sonic video games.

Shadow the Hedgehog is one of the most iconic characters in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He was introduced in Sonic Adventure 2 (2001) as an “anti-hero” counterpart to Sonic, created by Dr. Gerald Robotnik, the grandfather of Jim Carrey 's character.

The blue blur (and the ultimate life form) are headed to cinemas next month and more information about this new big screen outing is starting to surface. Apart from the director Jeff Fowler teasing some new details, it seems we might also now have the runtime of Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
