American horror writer Stephen King clarified on social media platform X that he has not been banned for calling the platform’s owner Elon Musk President-elect Donald Trump’s “first lady,” as suggested in online posts.

The hoax, which claims that King called Musk "The First Lady," also provides an answer to the question, "Can AI be funny?" That answer at least in this case, appears to be "no."
