As Mara Daffron, 19, walked into a Glendale classroom, Kaci Sloan got out of her seat and stabbed her twice in front of the rest of the class, authorities say.

Fellow student Kaci Sloan, 19, was arrested soon afterward in connection with the stabbing, the ASU Police Department said, according to 12 News, AZ Central and ASU’s The State Press. An ASU spokesperson confirmed the arrest in a statement to PEOPLE.
