Adam Sandler was seen in Verona township Friday as filming for “Happy Gilmore 2” continues in New Jersey. The actor, known for his role in the 1996 comedy classic, took a break from shooting to pose for photos with local residents, according to an Instagram post posted on the township's account.

"Happy Gilmore 2" is considering its trek through New Jersey, this time making a stop in Essex County. The sequel to the 1996 cult comedy classic, starring Adam Sandler, filmed in Verona on Friday, Sept.

Last week, on Sept. 9, Sandler, who is renowned for his laid back fashions, could be seen wearing a robe and sunglasses (over some sweats and sneakers, naturally) on the “Happy Gilmore 2″ set in South Orange. That day also happened to be his birthday — he’s 58.
