Netflix has ordered the limited series adaptation of "East of Eden" from writer Zoe Kazan, Variety has learned. The series was originally reported to be in development at the streamer in June 2022 with Florence Pugh attached to star as Cathy.

Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist and Hoon Lee also star in the drama based on John Steinbeck's literary classic.
