WEBJun 18, 2024 · I don't know why this is the assumption when this is a Capcom doing so much to acknowledge and correct what's gone wrong with past titles. If we get a new marvel, I expect spectacle. I expect Capcom will think they can grow the IP and invest accordingly, otherwise, there's no point in pursuing a title that they think might do okay.

WEBJun 18, 2024 · I think the reason people bring up the SNES Xmen/Marvel Capcom games is because they were included on the Arcade 1Up releases, despite those obviously also being "Arcade" releases, so it wouldn't have been totally crazy to include them on this, but its not like I would be expecting it or anything.

WEBJun 18, 2024 · They're definitely using the RE Engine for any new Marvel vs Capcom which means every character is gonna get reworked in some way. The only route we'll see 50+ characters is if Marvel/Disney and Capcom pledge to support the game for years. Not just 1-2 years then dip once again.
